About us

In 1998, Paul and Lea Jorgensen, and Mike Derbyshire started a JackRabbit Program operating out of Arrowhead Provincial Park.  The program was immediately successful with growing enrolment in the first 2 years.  In 2000 Paul gathered a group of keen individuals to start a ski club in Huntsville – the Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club. The main focus of the club was initially the JackRabbit program.  However the club has grown to include youth, racing and adult programs as well as special events such as the Loppet and Women of Winter.
